Husky Senior Care is a trusted, local company with roots in the community. Founder Matthew Long graduated from the University of Washington, where he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. While attending school, he worked as a night manager for a retirement community on Queen Anne in Seattle and developed a life-long passion to serve seniors. He worked in senior care in Seattle for 11 years, and after talking with thousands of seniors, he was determined to provide a counterbalance to all the forces that pull seniors out of their homes. Husky Senior Care was born! He even met his wife Victoria when she was an activity director at a retirement community. They have two daughters and live in Woodinville, Washington.
Seniors with a plan to stay home have lower anxiety and their families express greater peace of mind. We invite you to consider the reality that you can stay home with a plan.

Discover More About Dementia, Hospice, & Live-In Senior Care
In-home care is especially suited to the challenges that seniors face with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Only in-home care allows a senior to remain at home in familiar surroundings and maintain personal habits, relationships, and routines that a person has spent a lifetime building. Helping seniors successfully deal with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease challenges is one of our specialties. Husky Senior Care is also the only senior care company that offers both in-home care and memory care households, through our sister company Longhouse Memory Care Households.
While on hospice, your loved one will need private in-home caregivers to fill in the gaps between nurse visits. Husky Senior Care is a wonderful partner for hospice because we have more educated caregivers, care manager support for each client, and a good system for Nurse Delegation. We have worked very successfully with Group Health, Providence, and Evergreen Hospice programs.
24/7 Live-In Care is the pinnacle of senior care and it is one of our specialties. With this model, a senior can age in place safely at home to the end of life. Husky Senior Care does 24/7 Live-In Care especially well because:
1) We develop a customized Plan of Care that evolves with the client
2) Our educated caregivers are better able to track complicated medical issues
3) Our Clear Care system allows families real time feedback on the care
4) Each client has Care Manager assigned which insures a smooth experience
The caregiver will shop, prepare meals, and eat with the client. To qualify for the per diem rate, the caregiver must have a place to sleep (we can provide a bed), get 8 hours of sleep each night, and not get up more than 2-3 times per night. All the services on our service list are available to the seniors on this program, including transportation and home care assistance in the hospice environment.
