Matthew Long
Founder and President
Matthew Long is the Founder and President of Husky Senior Care and Longhouse Adult Family Homes. During college, Matt served as a caregiver for a senior with Parkinson's disease and as a night manager for a Sunrise Senior Living community in Seattle. After graduating from the University of Washington, Matt worked in the senior housing industry for twelve years as a Marketing Director, Administrator, and Executive. In these positions, Matt was a trusted adviser to thousands of seniors who were at the crossroads of either staying home with help or moving into assisted living. He observed that seniors lacked a credible stay home alternative to counterbalance the forces that pull seniors out of their homes. Matt founded Husky Senior Care and Longhouse to provide a muscular ally for seniors who want to stay in household environments.

Matt has both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master’s Degrees from the University of Washington. As a graduate student, he taught at UW for three years.
